How to set a loss limit before you deposit
The single most useful habit in this category is deciding your maximum loss before you open the app — not while a round is running.
Decide the number when you are calm
Pick an amount that would not change your month if it disappeared entirely. Treat it as the price of entertainment, already spent. If choosing the number is uncomfortable, that discomfort is the answer.
Size stakes against the limit
A stake of roughly one to two percent of your session limit keeps a normal losing run from ending the session in minutes. Larger stakes do not increase your expected return; they only shorten the time before the limit is reached.
Make the limit hard to ignore
- Use platform deposit limits or cool-off tools when they exist.
- Keep gaming money separate from your main account.
- Never top up mid-session — the session ends when the limit is hit.
- Set a time limit as well as a money limit.
Chasing losses
Increasing stakes to recover a loss is the most reliable way to turn a small loss into a large one. If you notice yourself calculating what stake would 'get it back', the session is already over.
